Dead Space Score Revealed

No...not THAT "score"...I'm talking about the music;)

We've learned through Music4Games.net that the "intensely atmospheric" orchestra score for EA's upcoming sci-fi survival horror title Dead Space was composed and conducted by award-winning composer Jason Graves. The score, which offers over three hours of music and was co-produced by Graves and Rod Abernethy, was recorded individually by sections during two different sessions with multiple dynamic levels and variations to be implemented as adaptive layers of music in the game. In other words, a lot of work went into assuring an overall tense mood designed to scare the living crap out of you.

The official soundtrack for Dead Space will be made available on the EA Trax website to coincide with the release of the game on October 14, 2008. Dork points awarded for listening to this in you car.
