After Mega Man 9 blew the doors off the Wii Virtual Console, PSN, and XBL just two short weeks ago, Capcom has now delivered the much hyped DLC for the Blue Bomber's latest outing. Endless Attack mode, surprisingly, involves playing through a new stage that has no end. The object is to clear as many screens as possible on a single life while fighting off enemies and avoiding obstacles. Don't think you're skating your way through without a boss fight or eight. Approximately every thirty screens or so you'll come across one of MM9's bosses to throw down mano-e-swine.
Proto Man is also playable now through a separate download. Mega Man's dysfunctional comrade has the ability to charge his shots, slide, and carries a shield that can block enemy fire. Endless Attack mode costs the Wii/Xbox points equivalent of $3.00 and Proto Man is $2.00. Both DLC packs are out now for Wii and Xbox 360, and will be available for PS3 on Thursday, Oct 9th.
