Zack Snyder, EA Strike Deal

When EA joined forces with legendary film maker Steven Spielberg to create the critically acclaimed, yet commercially unsuccessful Boom Blox, it was obvious the mega-publisher wanted to think outside the box when cultivating new IPs. Well, consider today's announcement of a collaborative effort between EA and The Watchmen/300/The Dawn of the Dead film maker Zack Snyder  once again thinking outside the box (and a rather bloody one at that).

The deal, which will see Snyder working with EA's Los Angeles-based studio, spans three games with both parties working to "extend the game franchises into theatrical motion pictures."

EA will own the rights to the games that they will develop, publish, and distribute throughout the known galaxy.

Interesting, huh?
