Valve To Host Source Engine Mods

Most people agree that Valve's Steam service is pretty awesome. If you're an aspiring game developer, well, it just got a whole lot better. Valve has announced via it's weekly news update, that the service will be hosting user-created mods of Source engine titles (like Team Fortress 2 or Half Life 2). Basically, if you own a Source-developed title, you can download these mods for free including all the updates and stat tracking your little heart desires.

Five user mods will debut this service including a medieval Half Life 2 mod titled Age of Chivalry and Zombie Panic, a title touted as the "spiritual precursor" to the upcoming Valve title Left 4 Dead.
