Silent Hill: Homecoming on PC, Consoles in September

'Lo Axe-heads, if you woke up today thinking about how its just about time to get your zombie-carnage on, then we have good news for you. Konami has announced the latest entry in their smash survival horror franchise Silent Hill: Homecoming is headed to Xbox 360, PS3, and (surprisingly) PC in September. The European release will follow sometime later in 08, with the rumor mill currently pointing towards November.

Doing one better than even the rare PC release, Konami has also stated that the PC version will only be available as a digital-download through the Steam online service. Whether Konami is a bit skittish about a Windows-box release and wants to keep the distribution costs down, or are simply trying to ignite the long-prophecized console-pc gamer apocalypse remains to be seen.

"Its a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out for them."
