Morning Axe-Heads. Sony continues expanding its online services today with the introduction of Life With Playstation. The new service will allow PS3 owners to get localized weather, news, and even web cam images from around the world through an interactive 3D interface of the globe. Currently the service offers real-time information from sixty cities around the world from Google News, The Weather Channel, and the Earth Television Network.
Additionally, the service runs in parallel with Sony's Folding@home project which uses the idle processing power of your PS3 to assist Stanford University in working towards cures for diseases like Alzheimer’s and various kinds of cancer.
