The release of Madden has become somewhat of an industry event (depending on if you give a crap about football or not...), so what better way for formerly-retired cry baby Brett Favre to solidify the "Madden Curse" and throw a gigantic monkey wrench into the million-dollar marketing schemes of EA Sports than to sign with the NY Jets a week prior to the game's release (which is today) and nullify the Madden NFL 09' packaging of said cry baby in his old Packers uniform???
Well, EA Sports says "if it's in the game, it's in the game", and they're living up to it today by releasing a roster update that places Favre on the Jets and, believe it or not, DOWNLOADABLE PACKAGING featuring Favre in the new Jets uniform (green IS the color of money)!. Seriously...you can go here right now and download a fancy PDF for the PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PSP versions of the game that will give you new Favre/Jets packaging.
What? No love for the Wii/DS versions? Throw the flag!!!
